Evocative perhaps of an imaginary underwater world populated by phosphorescent creatures, newly discovered organisms, atoms, strings of DNA, chemical equations, or even the theoretical speculations of advanced mathematics, the installations that comprise Tangle-Optical allude to the boby, biology, and the physical world while inviting immersion in a wholly invented space of artifice and fee association. Throughout, perception is purposefully dislodged even as the reflexive act of looking is insistently reaffirmed.
